In the game, the player assumes the role of the felon Richard B. Riddick, who is depicted in the movies by Vin Diesel, and is spoken of in the video game as well. After this landed for his crimes in the dark and brutal Butcher Bay, it is now up to the player to escape from this institution. He must make use of Riddick shown in the movies very special abilities, such as his supernatural vision.
